Specialist – Well-being and Injury Management

Kinetic is looking for a capable, organised and compassionate individual to join our People & Safety team as a Specialist – Wellbeing and Injury Management. In this vital role, you’ll help our employees recover from both physical and psychological injuries and return safely to work.
You’ll work closely with injured employees, internal leaders, medical professionals and external providers to coordinate recovery plans, provide guidance, and ensure best-practice processes are followed.
This role calls for someone who can lead conversations with confidence, influence outcomes, and negotiate effectively with multiple parties — always keeping the wellbeing of our people at the centre of every decision.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting employees through injury, recovery and return-to-work
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external providers (e.g. doctors, physios, rehab specialists)
- Leading investigations with empathy and professionalism
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation across all matters
- Promoting early intervention and a positive safety culture
- Applying sound judgement, cost awareness, and procedural rigour
- Occasionally travel across Gold Coast and Tweed regions
- Navigating complex discussions with care, confidence, and clarity
What you’ll bring:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Allied Health, Workers Compensation, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in injury management or a similar role
- Strong understanding of workers’ compensation legislation, claims processes and entitlements
- Experience dealing with both physical and psychological injuries
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead conversations, negotiate outcomes and build trust
- Confident in influencing stakeholders and managing sensitive matters with care and authority
- Investigative mindset and detail-oriented approach
- Confident using MS Office; experience with Solv or similar systems is a bonus
- Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
