The role
We currently have an opportunity for a Sponsorship Manager who will report to the Head of National Sponsorships. The key objective for this role will be to retain and grow a portfolio of sponsors and supporters, proactively project manage key deliverables across the business and support the end-to-end identification, procurement, onboarding and activation of new sponsors in alignment with fundraising targets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Pipeline development by identifying market trends and high dollar value sponsorship opportunities in line with business objectives.
- Support the retention and expansion of existing sponsorships whilst helping secure new opportunities with an emphasis on financial growth.
- Proactively manage all contracted deliverables associated with sponsorships.
- Produce compelling, data rich reports, case studies and renewal proposals that highlight sponsorship ROI and reflect evolving partner objectives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to design innovative sponsor opportunities and maximise sponsor value.
- Attend networking events and assist in CareFlight’s events (as required).
- Assist with the development of team processes to support long term growth.
- Organise and manage activations and key events from planning to delivery and measurement.
About you
The Sponsorship Manager is a key member of the fundraising team and will help drive strategic sponsorship initiatives that deliver commercial value, enhance brand exposure, and foster long-term relationships. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who thrives on securing new business, juggling multiple projects, leading experiential activations, and managing client expectations with finesse
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in Not-for-Profit sponsorship and commercial fundraising.
- Track record of driving corporate sponsorship revenue growth.
- Account management experience, activating sponsor deliverables with creativity, discipline and a high level of attention to detail.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills, capable of juggling multiple timelines and priorities.
- Collaborative personality with the ability to engage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- A keen understanding of negotiation methods.
- Current driver’s licence and availability for travel or weekend work.
- Proficiency in using CRM platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Canva.
- Enthusiasm for working in a not-for-profit environment.
Desirable
- Background in event management.
- Understand workplace giving program operations
