About the role
We are looking for a Marine Contractor Supervisor to join our Marine Operations team based at our Cape Lambert site but support Dampier Marine Operations and Engineering/Maintenance Planning teams.
The Marine Operations team ensures the safe and efficient passage and loading/unloading of Iron Ore, Salt, Fuel ships at the ports of Dampier and Walcott (Cape Lambert) and the maintenance of all associated marine infrastructure.
Leading from the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility and stakeholder engagement. We need you to motivate, inspire and keep our people safe as we work.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the coverage of the existing CMS teams across both Ports ensure that the CMS system is adhered to for marine contract partners and that we have resources to ensure safe and efficient marine operations with no negative impact on safety or production.
This role is also accountable for project management and execution of marine infrastructure projects. This role will also support the Marine Engineering and Planning team with execution associated planning activities prior to work commencing.

What you will need for this role
A trade qualification and/or relevant experience in Mining/Industry/Marine
Solid demonstrated experience in a maintenance/operations or a related field
Strong safety leadership in both daily operations and high risk maintenance activities
CMS training and applied experience in managing multiple work groups
Understanding of contract management obligations and polices
Incident management and investigation skills
General and Master Permits - Hot work, Confined Space and Working with Heights qualifications to permit level
SAP capability - creating notifications, breakdown orders, purchase orders and SES
Project management skills
Experience with reviewing maintenance scopes, work methodologies and L2RA’s.
An understanding of the Maritime industry and regulations
Emergency response coordination and training. Transferable skill for oil spill coordination.

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
