THE ROLE
Reporting to the Warehouse Superintendent, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both the Maddington and site-based operational teams. Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage warehouse operations to support the companies supply chain activities
- Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure safety and performance standards are met
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
- Collaborate with internal departments including but not limited to Maintenance, Production , Supply Chain and Accounts
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and customer service
- Oversee inventory accuracy and traffic management
- Manage warehouse security and freight manifests
- Resolve invoice queries and ensure equipment pre-starts are completed
WHAT DO I NEED
- Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the mining industry (required)
- Current Forklift Licence
- Certificate in Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods (desirable)
- Chain or Responsibility certificate (desirable)
- Certificate III in Warehouse & Distribution (desirable)
- Proficient computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Word
- Experience with an ERP such as Pronto
- Knowledge of WHS Legislation and Understanding of Dangerous Goods Legislation
- Knowledge of stock storage requirements and industry products relevant to gold mining
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence teams effectively
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent communication skills, integrity, and ethical behaviour along with values that are aligned to the company’s core values
- A proactive and solutions-focused individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and strong organisational skills to respond effectively to changing priorities
