About The Role:
Defence is seeking a Commercial Support Officer to work within Materiel Procurements Branch (MPB) in support of Space Systems Branch (SSB). The successful candidate will undertake a variety of branch-level commercial tasks relating to sustainment and acquisition projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver branch-level commercial support for SSBs sustainment and
acquisition activities.
- Respond to commercial enquiries and provide advice on procurement matters.
- Assist with preparation and management of approaches to market.
- Support tender evaluations and assist in contract development.
- Ensure compliance with Defence procurement policy and frameworks.
- Liaise with stakeholders across Defence and industry to support
procurement outcomes.

About You:
- Demonstrated experience in commercial or procurement roles, preferably in a Defence or public sector environment.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Defence specific commercial practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting Australian Defence Force (ADF) commercial initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Familiarity with space acquisition or technically complex procurement domains.
