About the role
This is not your average trading role. At QIC, you’ll be part of a 24-hour global execution platform, working across asset classes including equities, fixed interest, commodities, FX, and derivatives. You’ll execute trades with precision, contribute to execution research, and help drive innovation in trading processes.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Trading – Liquid Markets Group, and works closely with the Head of Portfolio Implementation. You’ll be well-supported by experienced leaders who are passionate about collaboration and delivering great outcomes for clients.
You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Risk & Compliance, and external counterparties to ensure best execution and deliver value to our clients. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where every day is different—and every trade counts.

About you
You’re curious, analytical, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You bring institutional trading desk experience and a strong grasp of database management and analytics. Y ou’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trades across multiple asset classes with precision and compliance
- Contribute to transaction cost analysis and execution research
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and internal teams
- Support data management and reporting tools for analytics and client reporting
- Monitor market intelligence and regulatory developments
- Assist with trade preparation, authorisation, and audit activities
To su cceed in this role, you will have:
- Experience in institutional trading, ideally across global markets including options
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including database management
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to support offshore trading hours when needed
- A proactive attitude and high attention to detail
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (finance, commerce, engineering, etc.)
- Prior experience trading equity options and familiarity with platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, or BlackRock Solutions and SQL and Python coding skills will be highly regarded.
