About the role:
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Training & Development Consultant to help drive excellence in service delivery at Doctors' Health Fund. In this role, you’ll ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding service to our members.
You will design and implement engaging onboarding, coaching, and continuous development programs across the organisation. Working closely with team leaders and subject matter experts, you’ll maintain our competency framework and develop high-quality training materials and experiences that support our operational goals.
This is a hands-on role that combines training design, facilitation, and program execution within a fast-paced and regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage an ongoing training and development program for our Claims and Member Services teams.
- Maintain and update the Doctors' Health Fund skills and competency matrix, conducting regular skills verification and refresher sessions.
- Deliver engaging onboarding programs across Operations and other departments as needed.
- Facilitate “Train the Trainer” workshops and maintain the “Path to Proficiency” assets.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through observation, assessments, and performance data.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Contribute to departmental goals and ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Training, Assessment, or Adult Learning.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering onboarding and training programs.
- Proven success in facilitating workshops and coaching sessions.
- Experience developing and maintaining training frameworks and learning tools.
- Strong subject matter expertise with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Confident communicator and engaging presenter.
- Able to build strong relationships and understand customer needs.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of working independently.
