The Role
As a Logistics Manager, you will lead a small, close-knit team and oversee day-to-day operations in a busy freight forwarding environment. This hands-on role focuses on airfreight exports and requires someone who can manage multiple shipments at once while staying calm under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Running the day-to-day operations, domestic and international freight
- Supporting and leading a small team
- Dealing with airlines, agents, and customers to make sure everything gets where it needs to go, on time
- Booking and monitoring shipments, making sure all shipments are fully compliant and properly documented
- Finding ways to improve processes and help the team work smarter
- Building strong relationships with clients and keeping service levels high
- Managing the monthly budget and reporting to management
- Solid experience in International exports (around 5 years or more)
- Experience in time-critical, sensitive and specialised cargo
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience – even if informal
- Logistics Manager experience
- Great knowledge of local and international regulations and procedures
- A proactive, can-do attitude and someone who leads by example
- Confident communicator who’s comfortable dealing with customers and providers
- Good with systems
- Calm under pressure and naturally organized
