About the role
We are looking for a Treasury Dealer to join our Group Treasury team in Melbourne. This role plays a critical part in managing the Group’s financial risks, delivering daily cash management, executing treasury transactions, and providing insights that shape funding and capital strategy.
You will work closely with the Senior Treasury Financial Risk Manager, contributing across market dealing, cash forecasting, investment strategy and risk reporting. The role provides exposure to financial markets, funding activities, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Manage daily Group cash positions to ensure liquidity needs are met and surplus funds are optimised.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash flow forecasts for entities across the Group, supporting both short and long-term planning
- Support capital and debt raising activities by contributing to investment strategy and transaction execution
- Assist with distribution approvals and free cash flow calculations across assets and corporate functions
- Execute interest rate and foreign exchange transactions in accordance with policy, ensuring timely and accurate system input
- Monitor domestic and international markets including interest rates, foreign exchange, debt and short-term money markets
- Source and communicate relevant economic and market intelligence to the broader Treasury team
- Support the development of risk strategies, interest rate pricing protocols and market analysis
- Assist with the preparation of reports for the Group Treasurer and risk management forums, including monthly interest rate risk reporting
- Contribute to the Group Funding Plan and Capital Strategy review by providing operational and analytical support
- Assist with operational treasury matters such as letters of credit and bank guarantees
- Maintain knowledge of IAS39 and other accounting standards relevant to treasury operations
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Treasury policy, procedures and risk systems
- Coordinate internal economic briefings and presentations to build team capability and market awareness
This role requires someone who possesses:
- Experience in a corporate or bank treasury, broking house, commercial finance or chartered environment
- Proven technical and financial analysis skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights clearly
- Understanding of treasury operations, cash management and financial risk
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, commerce or a related field
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and Quantum systems is desirable but not essential
