About the role:
Join our undergraduate Vacation Program to gain hands on industry experience in our dynamic and innovative organisation. These paid undergraduate positions are offered once a year for a 12-week placement over the summer holiday period (Nov 2025 - Feb 2026), working 4 days per week. This year we have the below opportunities available:
Opportunity 1: Business / Finance / Commerce / Accounting
- Working within our Business Planning and Performance team this student will be supported to develop a financial reporting and analytics suite for use in the business.
- Key responsibilities will include financial reporting and modelling.
- Open to: Business, Finance, Commerce or Accounting students
- Location: Mango Hill
- Working within our Culture and Capability team, this student will contribute to workforce capability planning, engaging with key stakeholders, co-facilitating workshops, and socialisation and rollout of success profiles.
- Students will develop skills in communications, deepen understanding of workforce planning and enhance strategic thinking and design skills.
- Open to: Psychology, Business Psychology and Human Resources students with an interest in capability planning.
- Location: Mango Hill
- Support the facilitation and creation of Unitywater’s annual Innovation Challenge.
- Deliver external environment scans, develop challenge scope and objectives, determine success criteria, establish idea assessment plan, co-ordinate an assessor group and work with back-end software.
- Build stakeholder engagement and software skills, enhance creative and constructive thinking, develop influencing and communication skills.
- Open to: Business, Innovation Management, Creative Intelligence and Media students
- Location: Maroochydore
- Working within our Brand, Communications and Media team, contribute to media and social media planning and creation.
- Draft and schedule social media posts, draft media releases and learn about how media teams in a corporate environment work to have their stories heard.
- Open to: Communications, Media, Journalism and Public Relations students.
- Location: Maroochydore
