At Animal Emergency Services (AES) Tanawha, we’re searching for a Veterinary Manager to champion clinical excellence, team wellbeing, and operational performance in our hospital. About the Role
You’ll play a key role in:
- Inspiring clinical excellence and supporting veterinary standards of care
- Leading by example on the floor, whether through clinical work (if desired) or as a visible, values-led leader
- Mentoring and developing the veterinary team through regular feedback, IDPs, training, and coaching
- Driving operational performance, including rostering, meetings, onboarding, and team support
- Working closely with the Hospital Director and broader leadership to deliver on our people-first vision
- Drive clinical quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning
- Shape and grow a high-performing and happy hospital culture
- Experienced ECC Vet (3+ years) or 5 + years as a proven leader in a hospital and/or health environment
- Clinical vet managers must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent)
- Non clinical leaders - Tertiary qualification in business management, leadership or project management, or healthcare management.
- Confident, calm communicator who lifts others up and sets a high standard
- Passion for mentorship, team development and a strong sense of
- collaboration
- A natural leader with excellent communication and team-building skills
- Ability to lead with empathy, purpose and professionalism
- Veterinary degree recognised in Australia
- Ability to work a flexible roster in a 24/7 ECC practice
