About the Opportunity
Bankstown Hospital is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as casual Wardspersons. In this vital support role, you’ll help ensure the smooth delivery of safe and high-quality patient care by providing non-clinical assistance across the hospital. Your day-to-day tasks will include transporting patients in beds, wheelchairs, and trolleys, assisting with lifting and positioning using specialized equipment, and supporting nursing staff with patient mobility and belongings.
You’ll also play a key role in maintaining a clean and efficient environment by couriering items, restocking supplies, assembling equipment setups, and managing waste and linen disposal. If you’re physically capable, team-oriented, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced healthcare setting, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community while gaining valuable experience in a hospital environment.
What You'll be Doing
To provide non-clinical support to complement the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient care.
This includes: transporting of patients, couriering of items, episodic cleaning, restocking, and assembling of equipment set-ups.

- Proven capacity to deliver general Hospital Services which may include general portering, cleaning, working unsupervised.
