About the Opportunity
Bankstown Hospital is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and well-organised Library Technician to join our team on a temporary part-time basis. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality library services to hospital staff, including clinicians, researchers, and administrators. Key responsibilities include managing circulation, cataloguing resources, handling interlibrary loans, and assisting users with information requests.
We’re looking for a qualified Library Technician with excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of library systems and services, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a health or special library setting is highly regarded. If you’re organised, approachable, and passionate about information access, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll be Doing
To provide assistance to Library clients at the Circulation Desk and perform Library support functions, with a focus on serials processing, and monograph ordering, accessioning, basic cataloguing and end processing. This position works closely with the Library Technician – Interlibrary Loans and both positions provide leave cover for each other when required.

- Completion of Diploma in Library and Information Studies or equivalent, with eligibility for Library Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
