About the role
Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic & capable library professional to join our passionate library team to provide efficient and effective delivery of library services to meet the needs of the community including performing a range of library, customer service and administrative tasks.

Key Accountabilities:
- Providing high-quality customer service across all library service points, including weekend and evening shifts as rostered
- Supervising rostered staff to ensure the effective provision of quality customer service
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the library service points and general enquiries
- Supporting library projects, delivering programs, and undertaking other duties as directed by supervisors
- Promoting the library and engaging with the community
- Carrying out circulation and information services in accordance with the library’s policies and procedures to ensure quality customer service
- Preparing and delivering library programs, activities, promotional materials, exhibitions, and displays as directed
- Assisting customers in using library technology, including computers, mobile and software applications, and other digital resources
- Ensuring equipment and systems are fully functional and taking corrective action when required
- Assisting community members with processing library financial transactions, including payments for printing costs, fines, and fees
About the person
To be successful in this position, ideally you will have:
- Diploma in Library and Information Services
- Equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Willingness to work on weekends and evenings as rostered
