About the role
The Supervisor (Water and Wastewater) reports to the Water and Wastewater Senior Supervisor. In this role, you will lead a multi-skilled team in the delivery of water and wastewater operations and maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and service standards. You will work collaboratively and effectively as part of the team to lead, plan, and deliver business objectives and service outcomes in a safe and efficient manner.
About you
You bring proven experience in water and wastewater operations, supported by strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. You hold relevant qualifications in Water Operations, a White Card, and a valid unrestricted driver’s licence.
Self-motivated and well-organised, you manage your time effectively and are committed to ongoing professional development. Your ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, and coordinate complex projects will be key to your success in this role.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Completion of operational and maintenance works in accordance with the Water and Wastewater program and within budget.
- Assist with the administration and reporting functions, including cost management, WH&S management, and program management
- Oversee the planning and delivery of relevant Water and Wastewater services.
- Actively engage and mentor staff to achieve strategic goals, operational objectives and promote and drive a culture which strives for continuous improvement.
- Ensure work sites, plant and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Provide effective supervision and leadership to the team, and oversee work completed by contractors.
- Participate in training and professional development to maintain contemporary knowledge, skills and qualifications relevant to the position.
- Ensure operational compliance with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, Drinking Water Quality Management Plan and environmental licence conditions.
