The Wellbeing Planning and Policy Lead will oversee the Community Services Triennial Grant process, including management of the funding agreement with the successful recipients. The role is responsible for leading projects across the Health and Wellbeing Services department to improve community wellbeing outcomes.

A little bit more about the role: Reporting to the Community Wellbeing Senior Coordinator, the Wellbeing Planning and Policy Lead will provide direct line management to the Project Support Officer ensuring the successful delivery of projects aimed at improving community wellbeing.

Duties include:
Lead the development and implementation of the Children and Young People’s Action Plan, along with other related strategic initiatives
Oversee and lead the Community Services Triennial Grant process, conducted every three years, including management of the funding agreement with the successful recipients.
Plan, develop and deliver health promotion initiatives that support Council’s health and wellbeing plan.
Provide supervision for team members

What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated ability to deliver and manage health and wellbeing projects contributing to the development of community infrastructure.

You will have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, including ability to establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, manage multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with external consultants and stakeholders along with experience in delivering high quality reports, policies, action plans and communication.

Qualifications and Employment Requirements

Essential tertiary qualification in a relevant field (education, public health, health promotion, community development) and/or proven experience in the delivery of successful strategic projects with a health and wellbeing outcome.
Qualification or experience in managing complex projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, project stakeholders and supervising consultants.
Current Driver's Licence
Satisfactory Police Check.
Working with Children Check.
