Role Overview:
As our WHS, Injury, and Workers Compensation Advisor, you’ll provide central support to the WHS and Wellbeing Lead and Operations team. In this role, you’ll manage workers compensation claims, oversee injury management, and deliver WHS activities and programs. You’ll conduct case reviews and collaborate with insurers and medical professionals, requiring strong administration skills and knowledge of WHS legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer end-to-end workers compensation claims and entitlements
- Conduct case reviews and collaborate with insurers, medical professionals, and management
- Prepare and lodge injury notifications within required timeframes
- Provide advice on injury management and return to work plans
- Maintain accurate records of hazards, injuries, and claims
- Liaise with injured staff and third parties to ensure effective claim management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying WHS and Workers Compensation legislation
- Demonstrated hands-on experience and understanding of injury management service delivery and return to work programs and principles including payroll processes
- SIRA Return to Work Coordination training
- Qualifications in WHS-related discipline or workers compensation claims management
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and administration skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage, collaborate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders for the best possible outcomes
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
