About the Role:
As a Youth Worker, you will be at the heart of our efforts to support and uplift young people in the Mackay region. Working from the Sarina Youth Centre, you will collaborate with the Youth Development Officers and team members to deliver impactful programs, provide case support, and foster meaningful connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day activities at the Sarina Youth Centre including youth programs, events, and case management.
- Engage with young people to identify their needs and help them access vital resources and services.
- Assist in planning and implementing programs and interventions tailored to the Sarina community.
- Support at-risk youth and their families through advocacy, engagement, and research.
- Encourage and guide volunteers involved in youth activities.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment by reporting and assisting with workplace incidents.
