Hospitals Sth - WACS Applications must be submitted by Sunday 18 December, 2022 11:55 PM Position details Applications close: Sunday 18 December, 2022 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award/General Stream, Band 2 Employment type: Part Time Region: South Location: Royal Hobart Hospital Job description: WACS administer services across key groups of Children and Youth, Newborn Services and Children’s Critical Care and Women's Health, as well as the specific specialised areas of Lactation, Clinical Genetics and Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Examination.

The role:

  • Provide effective administrative support for the Nurse Unit Managers (NUMs) of Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU), Maternity Services and Paediatric Services.
  • Undertake administrative tasks in support of NUMs, including data entry and minute typing.
  • Provide efficient administrative and clerical support including background notes, briefing material and other information for use by the NUMs.
  • Support cross-unit administrative processes within the units.
  • Undertake project support activities as directed by the NUMs.
  • Participate in the development of service standards and quality assurance projects within the relevant clinical units.

Details of Appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP

  • notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.




$58,652 to $63,154 pro-rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

  • Current Working with Children Registration

    *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
