The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for a variety of general accounting duties and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the club’s daily financial activities within the Finance team.This is a full-time role requiring availability to work Mondays to Fridays between 9am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle member account queries via phone and email with professionalism.
- Process payments, refunds, and activity charges to member accounts accurately.
- Support account reconciliation, direct debits, invoicing, and internal charging.
- Assist with accounts receivable, managing petty cash, and club expenses.
- Contribute to month-end tasks, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage digital and physical financial records and filing systems.
- Perform data entry and maintain accuracy in accounting systems (Greentree).
- Provide admin support and back-up for the finance team as needed including the Accounts Payable function.
Key requirements:
- Accounting and Administration support experience or may suit a recently qualified accounting graduate.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting software and bookkeeping procedures.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team.
- Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
