THE ROLE


The Administration Officer is a critical position within the office as it gives the first impression of the organisation. Administration Officers are an important part of the team and the role is instrumental in providing quality service to clients, the general public, staff and service providers of the Department.

Pivotal to your success in this challenging yet fulfilling role, the successful candidate will possess demonstrable skills in the following key areas:

  • Reception services experience.
  • Exceptionally strong organisational skills coupled with a strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Self-motivated underpinned by a can-do attitude.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • A remarkably strong team focus with responsiveness and attentiveness a strong indicator of future success.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE


  • As part of a team, deliver a high quality telephone and reception service to clients, service providers and members of the public by maintaining a welcoming and professional manner, acknowledging all visitors and callers, respecting diversity and responding promptly to their needs in turn.
  • Assist clients who are distressed, angry or confrontational with courtesy, implementing established security procedures as required.
  • Provide support through a range of administrative functions as required.
