An exciting opportunity exists to join the in the VCE Curriculum Unit for an ongoing full-time position.

The VCE Curriculum Unit manages the ongoing monitoring, review and development of the curriculum and related matters for all Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) studies, including review and accreditation of studies, state-wide support for implementation, authorisation of providers to deliver the VCE and the school-based assessment audit program. The Unit maintains a system of quality assurance checks for all VCE curriculum publications and manages VCE curriculum communications to internal and external stakeholders.
Role purpose
The Project Officer provides administrative support for work undertaken within the VCE Curriculum Unit, including coordinating the delivery of online professional learning, editing and publishing digital print and video resources in accordance with VCAA style guidelines, preparation of questionnaires and data reports, and development of documents and templates. The incumbent will be proficient in database management with the ability to create, manipulate and present data in a range of formats.

- You are a detail-oriented professional with strong written and oral communication skills, and proven experience working within tight timelines.
- You have experience in supporting programs and providing administrative support across multiple projects. You are adept at efficiently handling data and reporting tasks.
- The ideal candidate will have experience supporting governance processes for working parties, Committees and/or Boards and preparing government briefs.
- Additionally, you have a sound understanding of Victorian Public Service policies, processes, and structures, particularly within the education sector, enabling you to align with organisational frameworks effectively.
- Your skill set positions you as a proactive and capable team member, ready to deliver impactful results while effectively managing competing priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualification a relevant field
- Strong administrative and project coordination experience
- Proficiency in database management and data presentation
- Experience in editing and publishing digital and print content, including familiarity with applying style conventions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound understanding of Victorian Public Service policies, processes, and structures (including briefings), particularly within the education sector
Desirable:
- Sound understanding of the Victorian Certificate of Education.
