We are looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our dynamic team based at our Perth branch. At Cummins we specialise in heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway, and power generation products.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Hands on work – using RF scanners to transact goods dispatch
- Using hand powered trolleys 80% of the time
- Using forklifts 20% of the time
- Hands on work – using RF scanners to transact goods receipt
- Using hand powered trolleys 80% of the time
- Using forklifts 20% of the time
- Hands on work creating consignments and booking transport
- 80% keyboard data entry
- 20% hands on moving boxed
- 100% using forklift or PIV to move parts between workshops and warehouse
- Participate in training and safety meetings
- General cleaning activity – 30 mins a day
- Daily inventory management tasks
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- A current High Risk Forklift licence (preferable but not essential)
- WA driver’s licence
- The flexibility to work reasonable overtime as required
- Previous warehousing/stores experience preferred but not essential – on the job training available to suitable applicants
- Previous experience in a customer facing role as part of a team would be beneficial
- Ability to work unsupervised and commit to undertaking all work safely and efficiently
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office – intermediate Excel) and can learn new systems and processes quickly
RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certification to operate powered industrial vehicles and other heavy machinery. Forklift license required.
- Experience: Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
