The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a skilled and motivated Media Adviser to join our communication team.

About Us:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety has an ongoing opportunity for an experienced or emerging Media Adviser with strong writing skills, sound news sense and an interest in law and order issues.
You will be part of a media team that handles some of the most challenging areas of public policy and operations, including criminal law, prisons, youth justice, emergency services, and community safety.
Our work requires clear thinking under pressure, and the ability to understand and communicate sensitive and complex information accurately. Candidates should be confident working in a fast-moving environment and capable of managing multiple and competing deadlines.
The successful applicant will be expected to write media materials, coordinate responses to media enquiries, be team-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a can-do approach in the workplace.
