About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Agricultural and Agritech Technician to join our (sugar cane / hay / beef cattle) operation. This role will provide technical and practical support across crop and livestock production through the application of agricultural science, sustainable practices, and innovative Agritech solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil testing, land preparation, planting, fertiliser application, and irrigation programs.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, irrigation systems, and agricultural technologies.
- Monitor and record crop performance, soil health, and livestock conditions to support management decisions.
- Assist with pest, weed, and disease monitoring and control measures.
- Support sustainable farming methods, including efficient irrigation, pasture management, and rotational grazing.
- Provide technical input into Agritech adoption and data collection for productivity improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in farming operations, land preparation, and/or crop or livestock management.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and irrigation systems.
- Strong problem-solving, record-keeping, and data analysis skills.
- Commitment to sustainable farming practices, WHS compliance, and teamwork.
