Salary: $78,000 per annum
NVD Fresh Produce is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Agricultural Technician (ANZSCO 311112) to support our farming operations in Moonyoonooka, Western Australia. This role will be integral to ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of our agricultural activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse data on crops, soil, water, and environmental conditions.
- Conduct field and laboratory tests to support research and production.
- Assist in the development and implementation of improved farming methods and technologies.
- Monitor crop health, pests, and diseases, and provide technical recommendations.
- Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, tools, and scientific equipment.
- Record and interpret experimental and operational results for reporting to management.
- Provide technical support to farm managers, agronomists, and production staff.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Completion of a relevant diploma or higher-level qualification in agriculture, agritech, or a related discipline.
- Practical experience in agricultural production or research (crop, soil, or livestock systems).
- Knowledge of agricultural testing methods, data collection, and analysis.
- Ability to conduct field and laboratory work under varying conditions.
- Competence in operating agricultural machinery, scientific instruments, and technology.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and record-keeping skills.
