As Alliance Manager – City Events, you will lead the strategy and delivery of the City’s premier events, sponsorships, and activations—bringing bold ideas to life and positioning Perth as a destination of choice for culture, business, and community.
This exciting leadership role offers the chance to shape Perth’s event landscape, create strong partnerships, and deliver experiences that leave a lasting mark on residents and visitors alike.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager Engagement and Activation, you will:
- Set the vision by crafting and delivering an events strategy that attracts visitors, strengthens the local economy, and adds value to the community.
- Lead with impact by overseeing all aspects of event planning and delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and effective risk management.
- Champion partnerships by building and managing sponsorships and collaborations that extend reach and create value for the City and its stakeholders.
- Own the portfolio by managing budgets and resources with a clear focus on outcomes and financial sustainability.
- Inspire a team by leading a skilled, multi-disciplinary group, fostering creativity, high performance, and alignment with the City’s values.
About You
This is a role for a bold and strategic leader who thrives in dynamic environments. You will bring:
- A proven track record in delivering major events and sponsorships, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
- A tertiary qualification in events, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- Strong business acumen, including strategic planning, budgeting, and governance knowledge.
