The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) are on the lookout for a detail-oriented AP / AR Coordinator to join our Business Operations team.
This exciting opportunity, based at the iconic Adelaide Oval, places you at the heart of SACA’s financial team, where your expertise will drive seamless financial operations. From managing invoices and accounts receivable to ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with Cricket Australia, the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority, and key internal stakeholders to deliver strong financial outcomes that align with SACA’s strategic goals. Working alongside the Senior Financial Accountant and Finance Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in monthly reconciliations and contribute to initiatives that shape the future of cricket in South Australia.
Please note this position will be on a fixed 12-month term.
Key responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Duties
- Establish and maintain supplier details within the system, updating as necessary.
- Raise requisitions and code invoices appropriately.
- Post journals and transactions generated by the Accounts Payable system daily.
- Conduct a high-level review of aged payables prior to regular supplier payment batches to ensure all overdue and near due payables are settled.
- Process supplier invoices on a weekly basis.
- Handle statutory payments efficiently.
- Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, addressing all account queries promptly.
- Perform monthly supplier reconciliations.
- Facilitate expense reimbursements.
- Ensure timely payment of AOSMA invoices and regularly reconcile the AOSMA statement.
- Process contra invoices, managing contra balances in collaboration with relevant SACA staff members.
Accounts Receivable Duties
- Raise accounts receivable invoices with the correct account coding regularly.
- Establish and maintain customer details in the system, making updates as needed.
- Reconcile accounts receivable consistently.
- Regularly review and follow up on unpaid accounts receivable balances.
Systems Support
- Act as the first point of contact for all Basware and Concur queries, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting to the business.
- Maintain and support finance online forms for the business.
Leadership
- Provide finance systems training to new and existing employees and maintain user guides.
- Drive process improvement and efficiency across the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures are current.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Undertake ad hoc payroll reporting and duties as requested by the Manager.
- Execute other duties as requested by the Manager.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and tax regulations.
- Manage credit card expense processing and reconciliations.
- Lead the Purchase Order and supplier invoice processing system, ensuring timely payment of suppliers.
Compliance and Best Practices
- Monitor and report on Purchase Order processing, supplier invoice processing, outstanding credit card reconciliations, and other compliance requirements.
- Adhere to company policies, financial guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, implementing best practices for document storage and retention.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required information and documentation.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with the finance team and other internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters, payment inquiries, and disputes.
- Foster a team-based approach to achieve optimal outcomes for SACA in accordance with SACA’s How We Play Behaviours.
- You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one
Would also be great if you have…
- Qualifications in finance, commerce or bookkeeping or similar relevant experience
- Strong account processing skills
- Ability to manage high workloads and meet deadlines within specific time frames
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, liaison and active listening with a variety of people
- Unwavering integrity, authenticity, professionalism and customer focus
- High attention to detail
- Sound computer skills, particularly in Word processing, data base and spread sheets
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar Accounting Software
- Working knowledge of Basware or similar would be beneficial
