About the role
Are you a skilled leader with a passion for developing talent? Zinfra is seeking a dedicated and experienced Apprentice Team Leader to manage and mentor a cohort electrical apprentices across our Broadmeadows and Tullamarine depots under the Jemena Electricity Services Agreement contract. This role is pivotal in shaping the next generation of field professionals through structured development, coaching, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities include
- Lead the end-to-end apprentice journey including onboarding, rotations, performance management, and progression planning
- Provide consistent coaching and mentoring to apprentices, fostering a culture of safety, learning, and accountability
- Collaborate with training providers and internal teams to ensure apprentices meet technical and compliance standards
- Monitor and manage apprentice performance through audits, task observations, and feedback loops
- Coordinate procurement of tools, PPE, and equipment aligned with apprentice progression stages
- Approve and manage operational requests including time writing, leave, IT access, and accommodation
- Represent Zinfra at career expos and recruitment events, contributing to talent acquisition and workforce planning
About You
You’re a confident and capable leader with a passion for developing people and driving operational excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a structured, proactive approach to team management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership or team management role
- Proven experience managing workforce programs or apprenticeships
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive outcomes
- Electrical industry experience is advantageous but not essential
