About the opportunity:
This is a superb, Ipswich based General Management opportunity in which you will have full responsibility/accountability for the safety, growth and profitability of the regional Humes business including driving sales and revenue and overseeing the operations across the area. It is a pivotal role - requiring a talented and energetic leader with a unique blend of strategic and operational expertise which will enable you to drive the day-to-day business as well as to influence and contribute to its strategic direction.
Responsibilities are wide with key result areas covering SHE, Financials, Reporting, Leadership and People Development, Sales and Marketing, Market Position, Credit Management, Industrial Relations as well as Operations Management. You will maximise opportunities with existing and new clients; deliver agreed sales and operational targets and business goals and develop and maintain relationships with major clients whilst providing inspirational leadership to a large and professional team.
About You:
To succeed in this truly exciting role, you will be a leader and a team player - someone who is passionate about driving overall business performance with a growth agenda and with solid, practical skills and knowledge in developing the capability of teams.
Engineering and/ or commercial qualifications are desirable and a history of success in pivotal leadership positions, ideally within related heavy manufacturing sectors servicing the civil construction industry will be highly regarded.
You will thrive on engendering solid business relationships and be level-headed and down to earth with exemplary standards of ethical conduct and professional judgment with a positive, resilient, curious and goal orientated nature. This will be complimented by your focus on coaching and developing others and by your clear ability to find ways to put together solutions that add value.
