About the area
Campus Management is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and managing the University’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. Campus Management delivers a range of University-wide services including strategic planning, property management, facilities operations, major projects and developments, sustainability, landscape, security and transport.
Within the Central Service Delivery Centre (SDC) sits Campus Management’s Maintenance and Services team. The role shares accountability for the operational delivery of Campus Management services and its primary customers are the Central Units and the University’s estate.
About the opportunity
- You will assist in the development of the UWA asset management system (AMS), including plans such as asset management plans (AMP’s) and lifecycle plans. You will also be responsible for maintenance of the asset data including asset data collection and condition surveys.
- As part of the asset management team, you will be pivotal in further developing the asset management culture at UWA by facilitating asset management training and processes improvement to ensure UWA facilities remain fit for purpose to support core business activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ISO55000 aligned best practice processes and procedures to strategically manage UWA’s property and associated infrastructure assets including infrastructure assets, inclusive of buildings, plant, utilities, equipment, roads, pathways and drainage and grounds.
About you
- Relevant qualifications, ideally in engineering, mechanical, electrical or refrigeration, or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Substantial relevant experience at an appropriate level
- Demonstrated Asset Management and Facilities Management knowledge in particular PAS55 or ISO55000 understanding.
- Strong Lean and 6 Sigma Knowledge.
- Previous experience in CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) applications such as Maximo
