About the Role
As the Assistant Centre Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our service while helping to lead and inspire a team of passionate educators. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement.
You will work closely with the Centre Manager and take the lead when required, ensuring a consistently high standard of care, compliance, and engagement across all rooms.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations and running of the centre
- Leading and mentoring educators to ensure exceptional care and educational practices
- Building a positive and collaborative team culture
- Ensuring documentation and programming meet quality and regulatory standards
- Building strong, respectful relationships with families, children, and the wider community
- Assisting with administrative duties, including rostering, compliance, family tours, and parent communication
- Managing the service in the Centre Manager’s absence with confidence and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an Assistant Manager who is not only experienced, but also a natural leader who leads by example and is committed to fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and kindness.
You will have:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or 2IC role within an early learning setting
- Qualifications: A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher), along with current first aid, CPR, child protection, and WWCC
- Professionalism: A high standard of personal presentation, integrity, and communication, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
- Organisation and Focus: Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Leadership Skills: Confidence in guiding and inspiring a team, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Eligibility: Full working rights in Australia are essential
