Umberto Espresso Bar is a busy, beloved local Thornbury icon who punches above it's weight. We seek an inspired, passionate & a ready made AVM to join our ambitious team and help lead our venue in maximising its potential. Italian wine and bev knowledge is essential. This is the perfect role for a hospo legend looking to cut back on hours.

The role consists of:
- Supporting the venue manager across multiple businesses giving you variety and accountability
- Up to 30 hours per week as a Casual with a view to going Permanent Part Time
- Daily operations of the venue
- Responsibilities over rostering and COGS, satisfying targets
- Stock management
- Attending regular management meetings and facilitating team training
- Recruitment
- 70/30 split between service & admin
- Using our integrated operating systems that underpin the above tasks
The role will require :
- At least 2 years’ experience in hospitality management
- Wine knowledge is essential
- Attention to detail with excellent communication skills essential
- An ability to see the bigger picture
- Knowledge of Italian food and beverage would be advantageous
- the frequent use and application of computers and systems is a non negotiable
