The Health and Stronger Communities Division leverages a multi-disciplinary team to develop evidence-based solutions and strategic advice for senior decision-makers across various social and economic policy areas, ensuring a whole-of-government approach for the NSW Government.

As an Associate Director, you’ll have the opportunity to manage complex initiatives, delivering strategic advice and thorough evaluations to shape government decisions, policy development, and implementation.

What you can bring to the role.

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in research and analysis and the ability to identify trends or anomalies in information.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial and policy analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing).
  • Experience in providing high quality economic/fiscal/policy advice.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work and lead a team delivering outcomes to tight deadlines.
  • A commitment to contributing to an inclusive culture and encouraging diversity.
  • Knowledge of public sector financial and performance management, internal audit and risk management, or governance and compliance issues and trends. (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics or relevant degree.
