Your future role
We have an exciting opportunity available for an ATC System Validation Lead to join our team responsible for the delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth, Western Australia. In this role you will primarily be based at our Perth CBD project office and be required to take ownership of all in-house tasks within the scope of the Verification & Validation (V&V) team, while closely collaborating with subject matter experts across departments. Work in close partnership with the Test & Commissioning team to ensure seamless integration and consistency between in-house and on-site testing efforts.
We’ll look to you for:
- Contributing to the definition of the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, and act proactively for its implementation.
- Defining verification methodology for selected deliverables, when requested from V&V strategy.
- Defining test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities. Liaise with PrCOM for exported tests.
- Performing and reporting on allocated verification, integration and test activities.
- Sharing and justifying the results with Safety Assurance Manager to feed safety demonstration.
- Interfacing with experts in other department to align on selected V&V activity methodology.
- Representing Alstom in front of customers or partners, for instance to provide overview of test progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
- Specifying, procuring, developing, setup and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation.
- Providing data to maintain applicable KPIs.
- Providing valuable feedback for REX sessions and continuous improvement.
- Managing configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities (simulation configuration, anomaly tracking, etc.).
- Following-up with T&C for tests exported to site execution.

- Knowledge of CBTC systems and different Alstom platforms.
- Significant experience in Rail Signalling, ideally within Verification & Validation.
- Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Electrical, Electronic, Systems or similar).
