At Princess Polly, we’re all about turning trends into must-haves, and we’re looking for someone who knows what customers want before they do. With our retail expansion in full swing here in Australia, we’re on the hunt for a Retail Merchandise Manager to drive curated, high-performing assortments that reflect our global brand, speak to our customer, and match our pace.
This is a newly created role, meaning you’ll have the chance to shape it from the ground up. Reporting to the Retail Merchandise Director and working closely with teams across Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing, you’ll be the driving force behind our Australian retail product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end retail product assortment process across our AU store network.
- Create monthly, trend-led assortments tailored to store size, location, and customer profile.
- Collaborate with Planning on OTB, sales plans, and store capacity.
- Partner with Supply Chain to streamline delivery timing and inventory flow.
- Align in-store visuals and marketing with product and trend direction.
- Analyse sell-through, product performance, and customer insights to optimise future assortments.
- Monitor the competitive retail landscape and adapt with product strategies that cut through.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless and impactful retail execution.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in retail buying management, ideally in a high-velocity, multi-store environment.
- Proven strengths in range planning, inventory management, trend forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.
- A track record of curating and executing trend-led assortments that drive sales and customer engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen—you know how to make data-driven decisions that grow sales and protect margin.
- Able to operate with pace, structure, and autonomy in a fast-moving environment.
- A strategic thinker who leads with insight but isn’t afraid to get into the details.
- Passionate about product, trends, and what makes the Gen Z customer tick.
