We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infrastructure management and automation, with a proven ability to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of various scripting languages, automation platforms, and cloud technologies. Working closely with the various infrastructure squads this position requires an experienced automation engineer to drive automation and pattern development for Infrastructure platforms.
This role will support the strategic automation direction for Infrastructure deployment, pattern based architectures and fleet management activities by enabling the consistent use of automation tooling.
The role will design, engineer, and maintain our infrastructure automation framework to support a pattern-based approach to fleet and infrastructure services working with various automation tools such as Ansible, and orchestration platforms (vRO, Terraform). A key objective is to automate and realise operational efficiencies in managing the existing fleet.
The role requires an automation coaching mindset and being surrounded by talented engineers, learning from others, but critically contributing to their automation development.
Essential Experience:
- Extensive experience with automation tooling and pattern-based infrastructure development
- Demonstrated skills working with internal customers in a large-scale development environment.
- Proficient in both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
Critical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with infra products and security standards.
- Awareness of the evolving technology landscape, including advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Phython, Bash, PowerShell, VMware, RHEL, Windows
