Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centres (MMHC) are safe and welcoming spaces that provide high-quality mental health supports delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and people with a lived experience of mental health. Funded by Brisbane North PHN, the centres provide free, integrated support over extended hours for individuals with moderate to severe mental health concerns and complex life circumstances, as well as support for carers and families.

- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of Psychologists, Social Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners
- Foster a team culture that is inclusive, reflective, and aligned with the principles of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Drop-In service alongside the Peer Team Leader
- Supporting team members with the delivery of clinical and non-clinical supports, ensuring guests are receiving a high-quality service that meets their needs
- Provide guidance on, and monitor the completion of Outcome Tools (including K10), Individual Recovery Plans, Case Plans and Home Visit Risk Assessments, ensuring these are reviewed regularly
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships within Communify, partners and key stakeholders to ensure participant supports are provided support in a responsive, coordinated and integrated manner
- Contribute to Quality and Management Systems including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement, Internal Audits and adherence with the NSQMHCMO Standards
- Support the MMHC and Communify leadership with reporting to our funding bodies
Role criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health (Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Nurse, Counsellor)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the key responsibilities outlined above – in particular, leadership, supervision, delivering clinical and non-clinical supports, undertaking comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and distress management.
- Minimum of three years working in the mental health field (leadership experience desired)
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and supporting cross-disciplinary support services
Additional requirements
- A current open QLD driver’s license.
- Working with Children card and Working with People with a Disability check (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
