We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Broiler Farm Manager to join our team at Hopeland, WA 6125.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Direct staff and make operational decisions.
- Operate farm and equipment safely.
- Adjust staffing levels as needed.
- Liaise with management on bird growth and quality.
- Supervise and train staff, document training.
- Maintain assets, biosecurity, and security.
- Ensure livestock care and health monitoring.
- Control documentation and reporting.
- Follow company procedures for bird care and farm operations.
- Maintain cost control and health records.
- Complete cleanout to standards.
- Implement and monitor WHS policies and performance.
- Investigate incidents and recommend actions.
- Participate in WHS committee and consult on changes.
- Show commitment to WHS through actions and discussions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Respond to environmental concerns and report incidents.
- Implement sustainability programs.
- Monitor and record environmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with Baiada quality systems.
- Analyze and resolve operational problems.
- Identify and implement improvements.
Requirements:
- Livestock management experience
- Current driver's license (tractor driving ability)
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, communication)
- Proven animal husbandry and personnel management skills
- Knowledge of quality systems, WHS, CoR procedures, and environmental impact
- Poultry industry experience, especially broiler farming
- Certificate III in Poultry Production (if required)
- Team player with good communication skills
