Primary objective
The Business Manager, Partnerships and Compliance role provides high quality proactive administrative support to the Workforce
Business Partner and Workforce Administration and Coordination teams across Workforce Services.
Context statement
The Workforce Administration and Coordination unit manages workforce reporting requirements between the Department of
Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) Workforce Services (WS) and client agencies, acting as a central coordination point
for agencies. The Business Manager, Partnerships and Compliance coordinates delivery of internal and external business reporting,
compliance, projects, and supports the WBP function in an environment that is dynamic, fast paced and with high expectations of
superior client service.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Coordination and delivery of high-level administrative support for WBP’s managing competing and changing priorities.
2. Coordinate and maintain relevant administrative functions to support agency priorities.
3. Lead and monitor current and future projects and compliance activities, identifying process improvement opportunities.
4. Oversee process and coordination of client agency strategic HR Committee meeting requirements.
5. Manage and coordinate the legislative reporting requirements for division and enterprise reporting.
6. Develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships and networks within DCDD and across the sector to coordinate
required information regarding deliverables, advice, reports, and audits.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level oral and written communication skills and demonstrated competence in preparing and maintaining documentation
with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
2. Proven experience in managing process improvement projects and, executive coordination services with a high-level of
organisational skills.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with senior managers and key stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and exercising
diplomacy.
4. Demonstrated time management skills to prioritise tasks with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
5. Demonstrated ability to analyse complex situations, handle sensitive issues and identify potential risks.
6. Demonstrated experience in using software packages including MS Office Suite with the ability to quickly acquire skills in other
software systems.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practise,
accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.
