We are seeking a Café and Restaurant Supervisor that is passionate about hospitality, that can confidently lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications & experience
- Proven work experience as a Café Supervisor, Hospitality Manager or similar role
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills to organise and coordinate staff in a busy café environment
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety legislation
- RSA certificate
- Food safety supervisor certificate
Tasks & responsibilities
- To ensure the seamless operation of Café on a day to day basis, ensuring every guest receives a consistently high quality experience
- To effectively manage costs including food and drink costs and maintenance costs, whilst remaining compliant with all legislation and company policies
- To implement and ensure meal standards and timings
- To ensure all hot and cold drinks are produced in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- To ensure accurate balancing of tills each day and other outlet cash and banking procedures
- To ensure all food safety and health safety procedures are implemented and followed at all times
- To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and followed at all times
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- To work with the rest of the team to create a positive, respectful working environment
- To work towards achieving high scores in all internal and external inspections and audits

Pay: $51,239.27 – $77,547.96 per year
