The Opportunity
AFMH is on the lookout for patient, hardworking, reliable and responsible people to be a part of the AFMH team. We have various positions available within our Calf Team. While experience working with livestock is an advantage, AFMH will support and train people with little or no experience, teaching you industry leading skills.

AFMH operates multiple sites across eastern Australia. Dairy operations are located at Moxey Farms in Gooloogong, NSW, as well as Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, VIC. In addition, AFMH operates Ladysmith Farms a young stock operation near Wagga Wagga, NSW and extensive cropping land in Torrumbarry, VIC.
Key accountabilities include:
- Undertaking all aspects of the calf rearing processes to achieve growth, health and wellbeing outcomes in line with AFMH targets
- Safe vehicle operation including tractor work.
- Identification of health conditions and administering of treatments as required
- Assisting with daily activities as part of management programs including vaccinations and calf movements
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties
The successful applicant will possess:

- The ability to follow protocols and adhere to safety standards
- Patience, empathy and care giving qualities
- Keen observation and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Q Fever immunity, or must be willing to undertake a Q Fever test and immunisation
