About the Role
The role on offer is for a Cashier - part time, ongoing to work at Monash Medical Centre - Clayton & Kingston. This is an on-site role and the working days will be Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (week 1) and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (week 2). Hours are 8:00 – 16:30 (24 hours per week). This role in the Revenue Services team is crucial for ensuring correct allocation of all funds coming into Monash Health. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Receipt all payments into their respective billing system accurately and in a timely manner
Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders
Prepare end of day reports and banking bags
Assist other Cashiers and staff with any receipting/allocation queries
About Us
Monash Health Cashiers are part of Revenue Services in the Finance department and work across 4 major campuses (MMC Clayton, Dandenong, Casey & Kingston).
Cashiers are a small team who work closely together and liaise with many areas within, and outside of the network.
We are focused, organised and skilled at multi-tasking – confidently handling multiple billing systems & payment types while assisting customers face to face, over the phone and by email.
About You
To be successful as a Cashier, you will enjoy a fast-paced environment with a lot of variety. You will be able to prioritise your day, and have the ability to shift focus as required. Adaptability and an appreciation of change will suit you in this role as it does evolve to suit the needs of the organisation.
What will you need for this role?
Previous customer service experience
Previous receipting / cash handling experience
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Previous experience in a multi-faceted, fast paced role
The ability to pick up new systems quickly
Problem solving skills and the ability to learn from your mistakes
The ability to work at any of our four locations
A positive and friendly demeanour
Although not required to be successful, these are desirable:
Accounts receivable experience
Basic accounting / general ledger knowledge
Experience with Monash Health’s in-house systems – PBRC, Oracle, Merlin, Health Track, iPM
