About the role
WA Cricket has some fantastic casual opportunities for Community Cricket Officers to work within a dynamic Community Cricket team at one of WA’s leading sporting organisations!

We have casual Community Cricket Officer roles available based in Metropolitan Perth.

The role will require you to assist in the promotion and delivery of school based and community-based programs within designated regions to deliver sustainable participation outcomes and optimise the cricket experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as a key support member of the WA Cricket Metropolitan Area team, you will be assisting with and maintaining relationships with schools and clubs. In particular, you will be working with School Ambassadors to promote and deliver school cricket programs leading to engagement with local junior cricket clubs.
  • Deliver school cricket programs/clinics and promotions that are targeted and designed to achieve a clear participation pathway from school to community cricket programs and competitions.
  • Assist in the training of School Ambassadors and Woolworths Cricket Blast Coordinators for the delivery of entry level programs so that teachers and volunteers can continue to develop and encourage community level participation in cricket.
  • Engage and communicate regularly with WA Participation Specialists to receive feedback on outcomes of school visits/promotions.
  • Investigate opportunities to promote and increase participation in targeted Woolworths Cricket Blast and Social Cricket Programs.
  • Undertake other tasks as required by the local Cricket Manager.
  • Support the ongoing administration of current WA junior cricket competitions across Perth.

We are looking for people who

  • Are great at communicating and getting your ideas across.
  • Can work well on your own and as part of a team.
  • Is skilled at building and keeping strong relationships with others.
  • Is excellent at managing your time and paying attention to the little things.
  • Have a valid WA driver’s license and your own way to get around.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
