What we are looking for:
We’re looking for Casual Customer Service Officers to join our knowledgeable team across Hervey Bay and Maryborough. You’ll take pride in assisting our customers with enquiries face to face, over the phone, and via email.
What your day will look like:
- Providing a high level of customer service across a range of areas and council departments
- Researching information sought by customers and providing accurate responses in a timely manner
- Processing payments received in accordance with internal processes
- Utilising internal council systems to gather and pass on knowledge
- Assisting and mentoring staff members as required

What you’ll need for success:
- Proven customer service experience, ideally in a high volume environment
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to problem solve and manage a high workload
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to pick up new systems
What’s nice to have:
- Experience in a local government environment
