Your Role: Empowering Independence
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll be on the frontline, implementing individualised support plans that put our NDIS participants at the very heart of everything we do. You'll work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life, foster social inclusion, and help them achieve their personal aspirations.
What You'll Do:
- Provide person-centred support in daily activities.
- Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep) with dignity and respect.
- Support skill development (communication, self-care, social interaction).
- Facilitate community participation and social engagement.
- Complete accurate documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, families, and our client service team.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing according to NDIS guidelines.
- Perform home-based tasks like housework and shopping.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
We're Looking For You If You Have:
- Certification: Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or related field).
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of disability support experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong verbal/written communication, rapport-building, time management, problem-solving, and basic computer literacy.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Driver's Licence & Reliable, Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, National Police Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Induction Module.
- Smartphone.
- Ability to obtain Manual Handling & Infection Control training.
- Immunisation Record.
