About the role
Casual opportunity to provide efficient and effective cleaning, porterage and waste services to both clinical and nonclinical areas within The Prince Charles Hospital. Operational Services Officers are responsible for a wide range of support services to clinical and non-clinical areas, primary duties including but not limited to cleaning, porterage and waste services, as outlined in Queensland Health Operational Services Manual.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Removal and rehanging of curtains in the wards on a rotational basis for cleaning in accordance with agreed procedures.
Assist healthcare professionals in the provision of patient care associated with Wards such as making beds, lifting, turning and escorting patients.
Transport medical and other heavy equipment throughout the facility utilising appropriate equipment.
Removal of general/clinical waste and soiled linen in appropriate containers to the designated collection area in accordance with the Infection Control Guidelines.
