Overview:
  • Casual hours, commencing Semester 2 (July)
  • Teaching into CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health, CHC43215 Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs and CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services and CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You
As a Casual Community Services Teacher within Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.
You will participate in the program’s continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

We are looking for casual teachers to assist in subjects including Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health.

Our ideal candidate will have:
  • A qualification in the TAE40116 or TAE40122 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Current industry experience within Community services, AOD and/ or Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirable
  • Hold an Employee Working With Children card (Victoria)
