About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Merchandise, you’ll be responsible for the full end-to-end category strategy — from product selection, pricing and promotions, through to range reviews, sales forecasting and supplier negotiation. You’ll partner closely with buying, marketing, and operations teams to bring compelling, customer-focused ranges to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute category strategy to drive sales, margin, and market share
- Conduct range reviews and product performance analysis to optimise assortments
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing negotiations and promotional planning
- Collaborate on product development and private label opportunities
- Use customer and market insights to influence decision-making
- Proven experience in category management, buying or merchandise planning
- A commercial mindset with strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in retail, pharmacy, FMCG or a consumer-led business preferred
- Strong Excel and data literacy
