About the Role


Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

The Central Bookings Officer is required to carry out a variety of administrative duties in accordance with the waiting list/elective surgery management process. The position requires a high level of negotiation skills to liaise with clinical, non-clinical support staff and the general public to ensure patients are admitted within their clinical recommended timeframes.

Ideal Candidate

  • Able to work Afternoon shift Monday to Friday with availability to cover day shifts when required.
  • Previous experience in the scheduling of surgical and diagnostic procedures
  • Ability to gain knowledge of MOH Waiting Time and Elective Patient Management Policy and Apply
  • An understanding and an interest in providing a high standard of customer service
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone communication skills of a high standard together with attention to detail
